Darts checkout trainer
overview
I’m building this darts training app as a personal project that combines my passion for darts with my interest in software development. The main goals behind the app are:
To train my team and friends
I want to give my teammates and friends an easy, structured way to practice and improve. Whether it’s working on checkouts, accuracy, or just tracking progress, this app will support all of it.For my own use
As a player myself, I know how useful it is to have smart practice tools. This app helps me stay sharp, challenge myself, and track my own performance over time.To expand my knowledge
Besides darts, this is also a great opportunity for me to learn more about app development, C#, logic systems, and user-focused design. It’s a hands-on way to grow my skills while working on something fun and meaningful.

Building My Own Darts Training App 🎯
Lately, I’ve been working on something I’ve wanted to build for a while: a darts training app. It started as a fun idea to help myself and my friends get better at darts, but now it’s slowly growing into a real project, and I’m pretty excited about it.
Why I’m Doing This
The main reason is simple: I love darts. But I also want to help my teammates and friends train in a smarter, more structured way. Instead of just throwing darts and hoping to improve, the app will offer actual training exercises, score tracking, and maybe even personalized challenges later on.
Plus, this is a perfect opportunity to improve my programming skills. I’m learning a lot , not just about game/app development, but also about UI/UX design, user flows, and how to make something feel nice to use.
Where I’m At Now
Right now, I’m focused on designing the UI, planning screens, layouts, and how everything connects. I want it to be clean, simple, and easy to use, even for people who aren’t super tech-savvy.
What’s Next?
Soon, I’ll start building the MVP (minimum viable product). The idea is to get a basic working version up and running, with the core features I need for training. Nothing too fancy yet, just something that works and can be tested.
I’ll be using Unity to build the first version, since it’s fast to prototype and gives me lots of flexibility. Later on, I might rebuild the app from scratch using just C# and Visual Studio Code, especially if I want to release a lighter or more focused version for mobile or desktop.
